An oncologist is a qualification of modern medicine. However, you can develop your experience in the treatment of cancer patients and become an Ayurveda cancer specialist. An Ayurvedic physician in Shimoga is successfully treating cancer patients.
To become an oncologist you will need to do a real, scientifically-based medical degree, and eventually specialize in oncology - again, your postgraduate specialist training will be scientifically based. Ayurveda is a bundle of pre-scientific and frequently anti-scientific guesswork. It has no place in real medicine.
